Bangkok, 30 August 2011 - Thoresen Thai Agencies PLC (TTA) appointed two new directors to replace Ms. Joey Horn and Ms. Pratana Mongkolkul, who resigned on 31 July and 15 August, 2011 respectively.
With immediate effect, Dr. Warapatr Todhanakasem and Professor Athueck Asvanund have been appointed as independent members of TTA's Board of Directors. The new directors are highly-respected individuals, who have distinguished themselves in their respective careers.

Dr. Warapatr Todhanakasem, a doctorate graduate in Business Economics from the University of Illinois, USA, also holds a MS in Economics from the same university as well as a MBA in Finance & Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, was the Managing Director of TRIS Rating Co., Ltd. prior to becoming the Chairman of Prinsiri PCL and an Executive Advisor of Amata Corporation PCL, both listed property companies on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).
Professor Athueck Asvanund, a former partner of Baker & McKenzie, is currently Vice Chairman and Group General Counsel of True Corporation PCL as well as Group General Counsel of CP Group, which are two of the largest listed companies on the SET engaging in telecommunications and agro-industrial products, respectively. Apart from holding a Bachelor of Law (Hons.) from Thammasat University, Professor Athueck was appointed under Royal Command as a Professor (Special) of Laws of Chulalongkorn University's Law School. He has written several legal books and articles.
